Afternoon. The Committee on Interior Fisheries reported notice to next Legislature on petition of Charles L. Eustace --- read and the report was amended by striking out the words, "Skowhegan Sentinel," and inserting in lieu thereof the word, and the Eastern Argus, and accepted as amended. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
The same Committee reported notice to next Legislature on petition of Thomas Yeaton and others and Oliver L. Currier and others -- read and accepted, in concurrence.
Bill to regulate Banks by prohibiting the emission and circulation of Bank Bills or Notes of a small denomination was read the second time. Mr. Brown moved to strike out all that part of the Bill that relates to Bills of the denomination of "Three Dollars," and the question of thus striking out, being ordered to be taken by yeas and nays, was decided in the negative as follows, to wit: Yeas. Messrs. Allen, Barnard, Brown, Burnham, Clark, Emmons, Mantor, McLellan, Randall & Read, 10.
