The President of the U.S. of America [last two words crossed out] to the Marshall of the District of Maine Greetings~ Whereas at a district Court of the United States of America [last two words crossed out]~ begun and held at Portland, within and for the district of Maine on the first Tuesday of June Instant T.B. late Resident at Bristol in the Kingdom of G. Britain [last three words superscript] Mariner was Convicted of piratically feloniously Wilfully + of his malice [illegible] [? abbreviation for "aforethought] Killing and murdering of a one J.C. on the high seas [last four words superscript]~ and H.H. late of Norway in the Kingdom of Norway was also convicted of knowingly and wilfully aiding and abeting the said T.B. in piratically killing + murdering the [?] illegible J.C. they were thereupon Sentenced to be [illegible crossed out] hung by the neck until they[crossed out] he [superscript] was dead on Monday [crossed out] Friday {superecript] the 25th. day of June ~ instant at the usual place of Ex [execution] We command you therefore that [several words crossed out and illegible] As by the Record of the same court appear.
