you wanted me to send you my Discharge I did not have to get one for they told me that they did not owe me and therefore had nothing to do with me any way Brig. Genl Montgomery gave me a pass to come home that is all that I had I was not paid by the United States I was paid by the State in Portland I have got my pay for all the time I was in the State except my Bounty Money
