Adjutant General of Maine Dear Sir - I have to day visited Grant Isle Dioune St. Johns, St. Francis, + Fort Kent Plantations in search of Absent men from the Maine Regiments in accordance to instructions from your office and am happy although disappointed to report: That I find no "returned soldiers' in either of these places and I am assured that none that was known _ who were enlisted in these places have returned Yours Truly Lev.
