Now I have got settled[word underlined], I shall have about three or four hours every day in Portland to look up the men there. I have reported almost all my men except those in Portland, and I think if you can give me a little more time I can soon finish up. I wish to do just as you think best about it. If you wish me to go on, I will get through as soon as possible, & make my bill all right[two words underlined], or, if you think more dispatch necessary, I would have you employ some one else. Please drop me a line as soon as convenient & believe me
