�125 Farmington Aug 22/62 J.L. Hodsdon Dear Sir William Sawyer of the Town of Phillip was arrested about ten days ago for Stealing one Hundred + fifty dollars the matter was hushed up by the parties since then he has not been seen but a few times. he goes armed with a dirk and Revolver I have made diligent search and as yet have not found him. It is thought by his Townmen that he has Skeedaddled [underlined] again Truly Yours J. Blake
