That notorious Sawyer of Phillip that threatens death to any man that attempts to arrest him, was arrested a few days ago for Stealing, the matter washushed up and he is now at large. I sent a Dep Sherriff after him Tuesday but the fellow was not to be found. I wish you would write Aaron Hanneford Dep Sheriff of this Town to assist me in these cases. He is a fearless man and will put more fellows through.
