Dear General Presson: -

I had your letter this morning. I had in mind writing to you each night but had to go to the armory (Recruiting) and then make a call which took til 11.30, so didn't write.

I brough McKelvey Bell's letters back with me. Went up to the hospital before we left. The General Committee's letter came by mail yesterday. Pretty poor stuff I call it, but then they don't know. Col. Bell's letter I gave our Harry Riley, and asked him to make "A.P.' stuff of it so all the papers could get it. He had it in the Portland Press, and I'm inclined to think scooped it tho he promised he put it in "A.P." If you show them to Lester or Herb ask him if he can find out for me if Harry did put it in as A.P.?

About the hospital unit I didn't know what the hitch was, and wondered. I myself am of the opinion that the State hospital unit should be in charge
