Mr Wilson. Dear Sir. Knowing you as one who takes some interest in soldiers affairs. I will let you know just how low we are situated. and as we have no chance to speak for ourselves. perhaps you will see that a fair statement of the case is given to Governor Coburn. as you enlisted me of course you will wonder why I wish to be discharged before my 3 years term is expired. simply because I enlisted to serve in the 2nd Regt and as there is no such Regt in the field I have reasons for thinking myself entitled to a discharge.
