Ordered, That Col Reed of Waldoboro', Mr Hobbs of Waterboro', Barnard of Thomaston, Mr Dunlap of Brunswick, and Holland of Jay, be a Committee to prepare and Report Rules and Orders for the government of this House.

The House formed in Procession, with the Governor, accompanied by the Treasurer and Secretary of State, pro. tem, and the Senate, & preceeded [preceded] by the Sheriff of Cumberland, moved, under escort to the first Parish Meeting House, to attend prayers, where the throne of Grace was addressed by the Revd Mr Nichols, agreeably to the previous appointment of the Convention: the House then returned to their own chamber:
