[Counsellors qualified]

Agreeably to assignment the two houses met in convention in the Representatives chamber, when Elias Stowell, Counsellor elect, came in, and took & subscribed the oaths necessary to qualify him for the discharge of the duties of his office.

[Treasurer chosen]

The convention then proceeded to the choice of a Treasurer of State by ballot - and on counting the ballots it appeared the whole number given in was 151 - necessary to a choice 76 - Joseph C Boyd Esquire had 147 & was chosen. The Senators then withdrew.

[Senator to U.S.]

Mr Crowell moved a reconsideration of the vote of third instant assigning today for the choice of a Senator to Congress so far as to assign Wednesday 22 inst for that purpose - the motion was lost. yeas 55 nays 79.

Mr Scammon [Scamman] then moved a reconsideration of the same vote so far as to fix upon 12 o'clock on Tuesday next for the choice - and the motion prevailed.

Mr Dunlap gave notice that he should move a reconsideration of the last vote at ten o'clock tomorrow.

[Districting Committee enlarged.]

Ordered that the committee who have under consideration the subject of districting the State for the choice of Representatives to Congress be enlarged
