The Senate propose a convention of both branches at 10 oclock today for the purpose of electing a Treasurer - and also of qualifying the Councellors elect who may be present. The House concurred & the Clerk was requested to acquaint the Senate therewith.

Agreeably to assignment the two branches assembled in the Representatives Chamber at 10 oclock, when James McLellan, William Chadwick, Daniel Merrill & Abraham Morrill Esquires Counsellors elect, came in and took & subscribed the oaths & declarations required by the Constitution to qualify them for the discharge of the duties of their office.
