They never examine into the treatment of the patients. Ans. Yes sir. I never know one of those physicians to go there and make special inquiries about how such a person was, with a desire to know that was his treatment. I have heard Dr. Cushing talk frequently with Dr. Sanborn, but not go into a ward to take an individual case and follow it up, keep sort of a record of it, and carry it along from week to week. Ques. Do you think that the average physician in ordinary practice, having no knowledge specially of insanity, could be competent to advise and instruct the resident physicians who had made that subject a study.
