A copy of the indictment, verdict thereon & motion in arrest of Judgement in case State of Maine as James M Rogers for passing counterfeit money was presented, read & sent up.
[Committee - regulation for government of States Prison]
An order came from the Senate for concurrence appointing Messrs Dennet & Green with such as the House may join a committee to enquire as to the expediency of appointing a committee to digest [?] a code of rules & regulations for the government of the States prison - and also to examine the criminal jurisprudence of the State and report by bill or otherwise on those subjects to the next Legislature - The House concurred & Messrs Elden, Adams of P. & Parsons were joined.
