110 [1822 Jan. 24] Mr McDonald from the committee on the Militia - reported that the Selectmen of Garland have leave to withdraw their petition - report accepted and sent down for concurrence - came concurred -

[Committee on roads thru’ public lands] On motion by Mr Bradbury - Ordered that Messrs Bradbury and Case be a committee to consider what measures are necessary to be adopted for the purpose of carrying into effect a Resolve passed March 21 1821 providing for the making of certain roads throughout, and authorizing the sale of public lands - and to report by bill or otherwise -

[petition committed] The petition of Jonathan Morgan for incorporation of a stream boat company to ply boat between Portland and Brunswick was read and committed to the Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges and Canals Sent down for concurrence - came up concurred -

[Report of Committee for procuring 150 copies of the Laws] Mr Green from the Committee to contract for an additional number of copies of the Laws - for the use of the state Reported - That they had contracted with Nathan Ames for one hundred and fifty copies at three dollars and fifty cents each, amounting to five hundred and twenty five dollars - reserving to the State the same right to claim and recover damages of Joseph Griffin for any deficiency in the quality of books, that may not conform to the bond given by Griffin and Tappan for printing and binding five hundred copies of the same laws - the books to be delivered at the Secretary’s office; - Which report was read and accepted and sent down for concurrence - came up concurred - The Senate adjourned -
