427 Friday March 9th 1821. Met according to adjournment. Journal of yesterday read by the Clerk.
Bill - Butter, lard & Bill "to ascertain the quality of Butter, Hogs Lard & for [inserted above]^the more effectual inspection of the same" is on motion called up and the vote of yesterday passing [inserted above]^it to be engrossed is reconsidered and the Bill committed to Messrs McCobb, Delano & Merrill.
Bill - admeast of Boards & & Bill "for the admeasurement of Boards, & regulating the tale of Shingles, Clapboards, Hoops & Staves, and for other purposes" being reported with amendments which are adopted. Read a third time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.
Bill - Judicial Process & Bill "regulating Judicial Process and Proceedings" came back from the Senate amended in the 8th & 17th Sect. in which the House concur and pass the same with a further amendment at S to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.
Resolve - allowing further time to bring in claims & Resolve allowing further time, to Thomas D Carteret to bring in & prove claims against the estate of Nathaniel Jenks, was called up and committed to Messrs Russell, Emery & Perley.
Resolve - dissolving the bonds of Matrimony between Betsy Randall & husband Resolve dissolving the Bonds of Matrimony between Betsy Randall and her husband Benja Randall, being reported with an amendment which was rejected - - the question "shall this Resolve pass to be engrossed" was then put, & decided in the negative.
