Message form the Governor.

To the Senate & House of Representatives Having accepted the resignation of James McLellan Esq, as Major General of the 4th Division of the Militia of this State, I make known to the two branches of the Legislature that the office of Major General of said 4th Division is now vacant.

Message from the Senate by Mr Smith their Secretary.

Mr Speaker,

The Senate have on their part assigned 10' o'clock tomorrow to come to the choice of a Major General to fill the vacancy in the 4th Division. - Thereupon the House assigned 11 oclock tomorrow for the same purpose, and the Clerk was sent with a message to acquaint the Senate therewith.

Mr Fuller informed the House that he should waive his privilege of moving for a reconsideration of the vote referring to the next Legislature, the subject of fixing the permanent location of the seat of government - and thereupon the papers on that subject were sent up to the Senate.
