Remonstrance of a Committee of Pownal " of the town of Danville " of Allen H. Cobb & others - against the petition of Peter H. Green & others for a new County were severally read & referred to the committee who have that subject under consideration. Sent up for concurrence.

- of Theodore Ingalls & als - against the petition of Samuel Andrews & others, were severally read & referred to the committee on incorporation of Towns. Sent up for concurrence.
On motion by Mr. Dumont of Hallowell, Ordered, That the committee on the Judiciary be instructed to enquire into the expediency of further legal enactments to prevent the vending of Lottery tickets in this State. Sent up for concurrence.
On motion by O'Brien of Brunswick, Ordered, That the joint Committee on accounts be instructed to inquire into the expediency of allowing Elisha North of Westbrook the amount of monies expended by him in the pursuit & arrest of criminals & in the pursuit of fugitives from justice.
