The report of the committee on State Lands made on the 5th instant on the subject of enquiry into the expediency of repealing the Resolve for establishing a board of Internal Improvements passed February 28th 1834, that legislation on the subject is inexpedient, was taken up and on motion of Mr. Parris of Buckfield, amended by striking out the words " that legislation on the subject is inexpedient" and substituting instead thereof the words "a Resolve for establishing a board of Internal Improvements" which is herewith submitted and the question of so amending said report was taken by yeas and nays & decided in the affirmative as follows [see appendix page 382] yeas 156 nays 6. and then said Resolve entitled a Resolve for establishing a board of Internal Improvements, was read once and tomorrow at 10 o'clock assigned for a second reading.

Report on the petition of Charles Leavins & others discharging the committee from any further consideration of the subject, was read and accepted and then on motion referred to the committee on the incorporation of towns. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - An Act in addition to an act to incorporate the Georges Insurance Company was read 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 o'clock assigned for a 3d reading.

Bill - An act to incorporate the town of Elliotsville, was read a 1st & 2d time and tomorrow at 10 o'clock assigned for a third reading.

Bill - to incorporate the proprietors of Rumford Falls Bridge Company, was read 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 o'clock assigned for a 3d reading.

Bill - to incorporate the upper Stillwater Bridge
