338. The Committee on Engrossed Bills reported as correctly engrossed, Resolve respecting the Baring and Houlton Road, " for the purchase of additional copies of the Revised Statutes, " authorizing the appointment of a Superintendent of the Public Buildings, " respecting the institution of a process against the proprietors of the first Cumberland Turnpike Corporation, " in favor of Parsonsfield Seminary, " in aid of the Maine Wesleyan Seminary, " providing for the repair of the Public Buildings, " in favor of Gilman Turner and William Saunders, " in favor of Mark Harris, late Treasurer of State, " relating to the State Prison and the same were severally finally passed.

Bill to incorporate the owners of Meeting houses and for other purposes came up amended. The Senate recede from their vote passing the same to be engrossed, adopt the amendment proposed by the House, and order the same reengrossed, in concurrence.

On motion of Mr. Miller, The Senate reconsider their vote refusing a passage to the Bill in relation to Innholders, Retailers and Common Victuallers. Mr. Prescott moved to amend said Bill by striking out all after the enacting clause and inserting "That the following provisions be added to an Act for the regulation of Innholders, Retailers and Common Victuallers" approved March 13,1834 viz.
