�29 E. Livermore Aug 23/62 Dr Sir I have to day heard that Edwin V. Fuller of Co. G. 1st Maine Cavalry who was sick at E. Livermore is now in Lowell Mass and at work for one Dollar per day and I supposed he is at the Same time drawing his pay from the Government - I think he could be found in Lowell and if he is able to Earn one dollar a day he is probably now able to Join his Regiment - I have now finished up my work and have made thorough Search through all the Towns in this County - And have reported to you all that I have found - The time spent in the performance of this duty has been nineteen (19) days which will amount to $47.50 My necessary Expenses for Subsistence of Myself and Horse for the same time has been $29.60 Making a Total amount in all of $77.10 which amount I should like to have you send me by mail as I am Somewhat in need of the money and I will send you a receipt for the Same - Yours Truly, E.B.
