Maine, District Court, September Term, 1808. United States [?] vs Schooner Parrot of Newburyport Seized by the Collector of Penobscot, for depositing without special license

After a hearing -- the Court is of opinion, that the Schooner Parrot is not by law liable to confiscation - & thereupon decrees, that the same, together with the few articles taken on board by the knowledge & permission of the Collector of Newburyport (which may with propriety be considered as ballast & stores) be forthwith restored to the claimant.

The Court is further of opinion from the appearance of the papers on board the Schooner, that there was reasonable cause of seizure.
