ON this twenty seventh day of June in the year our Lord eighteen hundred and twenty, personally appeared in open court, being a court of record within and for said County and State ofMaine, established by a law of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, made and passed on the eleventh day of June, A.D. 1811, and recognized by the Constitution of the State of Maine Park Holland aged sixty eight years, resident in [?] in said County of Penobscot, who being first duly sworn according to law, doth, on his oath, declare that he served in the Revolutionary war as follows: I entered the service of the United States in July 1776 in Capt. Benjn Gates Company C No Norman's Regt in 1777 I entered again into Capt NJ [?] Gates' Company and Col Rufus Putnams Regt and served as Sergt Major untill about Nov I then assd on [?] [?] and abou tthe year 1779 was appointed and [?] as Lieut and was Lieut and [?] of said Regt untill the close of the war - in 1783. I am a husband [?] by ocupation, am reduced in [?] and am not able to maintain myself without assistance from the United States - owing to my advanced age and decay fo health and strength to Labour - on the fourth day of April 1818 I made a [?] declaration before the Honorable Martin Kinsley Esq and my pension [?] is numbered 9090 - Park Holland
AND I Park Holland do solemnly swear, that I was a resident citizen of the United States on the eighteenth day of March one thousand eight hundred and eighteen, and that I have not since that time, by gift, sale, or in any manner whatever, disposed of my property, or any part thereof, with intent thereby so to diminish it as to bring myself within the provisions of an act of Congress, entitled "An act to provide for certain persons engaged inthe land and naval service of the United States in the Revolutionary War," passed onthe eighteenth day of March one thousand eight hundred and eighteen, and that I have not, nor has any person in trust for me, any property or securities, contracts or debts, due to me: nor have I any income, other than what is contained in the schedule hereto annexed, and by me subscrubed.
