�195 July 30 1862 Harrison Landing

This morning before breakfast I went out to the pickets for cover -- Toward noon I received intelligence that six rebel vessels were sent down the river to attack us and that a combined movement against us was anticipated -- Informed Col. Matheson - Corps Officer of the day. Rode two hours before finding him.
