Do you know whether he liked to have much clothing on or not? A. I think he did. I think he would have preferred more rather than to be cold, as he evidently was sometimes. Q. Did he go about his work with his coat on? A. Yes sir, unless it was warm. In the spring of the year when it was very warm, uncomfortable for any one with a coat on, he used to take it off. Q. Did he work all the winter with his coat on? A. He did. Q. Never saw him with it off? A. No sir.
