On one occasion I am very sure she went over to town, I could not give the time. Ques. How do you know that the attendant had been over to town. Ans. I think she told me so. She was gone long enough to be over to town and back again, I think nearly two hours. Ques. You speak of a time when the patient had some local illness and Dr. Hill was talked with by you. Ans Yes sir. Ques. Was this local illness merely an incident, an out growth of her low condition generally. Ans. It was a difficulty of which she had been subject for many wears, and which I think partly induced insanity. Ques. Did you consult Dr. Hill about it. Ans. I did. Ques. Did Dr. Hill go over and visit her. Ans. Yes sir. I was with ^him at the hospital at her bedside. Ques. Did you at one time go into the female ward in the neighborhood of where this patients was, through a back and private entrance. Ans. I do not know of any back or private entrance there.
