Read and concurred and Mr. Greenleaf of Portland, Mr. Low of Lyman and Mr. McCobb of Phippsburg are joined.

[Convention to qualify Counsellors.] Agreeably to assignment, both branches of the Legislature assembled in the Representatives' chamber at 1/2 past 4 o clock; when Isaac Lane Esqr, Mark Harris Esqr and Abiel Wood Esqr came in and took and subscribed the oaths required by the Constitution to qualify them for exercising the duties of Counsellors, to advise the Governor in the executive part of government for the ensuing political year.

[Committee on choice of Senators to Congress] Ordered, That Messrs Moody & Potter with such as the House may join be a Committee to consider and report by Resolve or otherwise the time, place and manner of choosing the Senators to represent this State in the Congress of the United States.
