5.12--State Employees' Retirement System of the State of Maine. Created by P.L. 1941, c. 328. Name changed to Maine State Retirement System by P.L. 1949, c. 35.

Duties--provide retirement allowances and other benefits for State employees under provisions of the retirement system.

5.13--Maine State Office Building Authority. Created by P.&S. L. 1941, c. 76, §1.

Duties--acquire land and erect thereon an office building or additional to the State House to provide amply, convenient and fireproof apartments for the various departments of the State government and the records and documents thereof.

Members--5 appointed by the Governor with advice and consent of Council.

Additional information--terminated upon completion of duties.

5.14--State Office Building Commission. Created by P.&S. L. 1941 c. 76, § 4.

Duties--provide plans and specifications for an office building to relieve the congestion in the State House; determine the location of such building, addition, alterations, and passageways.

Members--5, including the Governor as Chairman, appointed by the Governor with advice and consent of the Council.
