reported that the return from the town of Biddeford in the County of York was rejected because it was not signed by the town Clerk - the return from the town of Winslow in the County of Kennebec was also rejected because their [there] was no evidence that the Selectmen presided - the return from Thompson pond plantation in the County of Cumberland because it was not sealed - the return from Plantation No. 14 in Hancock County because it was not signed by the Assessors - the returns from the town of Etna and plantation No. 2 and associates, in the County of Penobscot because they were not received at the Secretary's office until the 16th day of December 1822. The report accepted in Senate came down for concurrence and the House concurred.

Message from the Senate by Mr. Smith their Secretary.
"Mr Speaker,
The Senate propose a convention of both houses in the Representatives Chamber at 12 o'clock tomorrow for the purpose of electing seven Counsellors to advise the Governor in the Executive part of Government the ensuing year. The House concurred and the Clerk was requested to notify the Senate thereof.

An order came from the Senate directing the Secretary of State to notify Edward Kelleran [Killeran] Esq that he has been elected by the two branches of the Legislature, agreeably to the provisions of the Constitution, Senator of said State and to request his immediate attendance at the Senate board, for concurrence & the House concurred.
