[Bill - fishery in St. Croix]

Bill, regulating the taking of fish in the river St. Croix and its branches " was read 1st time & tomorrow at 10 o'clock assigned for a 3d reading.

An order came from the Senate for concurrence referring the petition of Samuel Cony Adjutant General for an allowance for Clerk hire paid by him the year past, to Messrs O'Brien & Wilson with such &c &c - The house concurred and Messrs Nowell, Dunlap & McCobb were joined.

[Bill - Highways]

Bill, an additional act directing the method of laying out and making provision for the repair & amendment of Highways taken from the files of the Senate of last year together with the accompanying papers, was referred to Messrs Cobb, Hammond & Whitney

[pet. Saml. Davis]

An order came from the Senate for concurrence referring the petition of Samuel Davis of Harrington to be annexed to Steuben to the Committee on the incorporation of towns - and the House concurred.

[Report - Geo. Halliburton]

The committee on the petition of George Halliburton & others of Frankfort, to be annexed to Penobscot, reported leave to withdraw - report accepted.

[Committee - promulgation of the Laws]

An order came from the Senate for concurrence appointing Messrs McDonald & Whitney a committee with such &c &c to consider what method it will be expedient to adopt in the promulgation and distribution of the Laws of this State, with leave to report by bill or otherwise - The House concurred
