19 [1825] Abraham Morrill and Daniel Merrill, Esquires, came in and severally took and subscribed the oaths required by the Constitution to qualify them to enter upon the duties of their office. The two houses then separated.

[Governor notified of qualification of Counsellors] Mr. Stebbins was then charged, on motion, with a Message to the Governor, to inform him that Daniel Wood, William Chadwick, Abraham Morrill and Daniel Merrill, Esquires, have been duly qualified to act as Councillors [Counsellors] the current year.

[Report] Mr. Green from the Committee appointed to take into consideration what measures this Legislature ought to adopt, if any, relating to the claims of Massachusetts and Maine upon the General Government for disbursements in the late war, reported a

[Resolve] Resolve authorizing the Governor to instruct our Senators and request our Representatives in Congress to adopt all suitable and proper measures to obtain the allowance of the Massachusetts claims now pending in Congress, which was read and committed to Messrs. Dunlap, Parsons of York and Holland.
