Senate Jany. 8 1825.

[Resolve]

Mr. Dunlap from the Committee to whom was referred the Resolve relating to the allowance of the Massachusetts claims now pending before the Congress of the United States, reported the same in a New Draft, which was read and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence and came up concurred.

The President then announced the appointment of the following Committees, viz:

Committee on Bills in second Reading.

Messrs. Dunn [right column] Parsons of L. Prime

Committee on Engrossed Bills.

Messrs. Ripley [left column] Parsons of Y.

Messrs. Churchill [right column] Parlin

[Message from the Governor]

The Secretary of State then came in and laid on the table a special message from the Governor accompanyed [accompanied] by explanitory [explanatory] documents, relating to the subject of the deaf and dumb, which was read and referred to Messrs. Stebbins and Holland with such as the House may join. Sent down for concurrence, was concurred and Messrs. Fessenden, Adams and Warren were joined.
