Ordered that the Senate be requested to send down the Bill imposing a fine on towns entitled, who refuse to send Representative, on their last years files. read & passed.

[Remonstrance]

Remonstrance of James Osgood agst the petition of hedeui Howard & als, came from the Senate referred to the committee on Turnpikes, Bridges & Canals. Sent up for concurrence.

[Report - Hosea Rich & al]

Report on petition of Horsea Rich & al of Penobscot, that it is inexpedient further to consider the subject, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence & the House concurred.

[Committee - Probate Laws]

Ordered that the committee on New Trials be instructed to enquire if any, & what alterations or amendments are necessary to be made in the Probate Laws of this State - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

[Committee Sessions York County]

Ordered that messrs Sands, Wood & Chase of Kittery be a committee to consider the expediency of altering the terms of the Court of Sessions in the County of York - read & passed.

[Committee - people to say where seat of Government shall be permanently settled -]

Ordered, that messrs Smith, Clark of Strong, Hopkinson, Sturdivant, Dunn of Poland, Coolidge, Hatch, Weeks, Stone, Parker, Crosby & Fletcher & Adams of Cherryfield be a committee to consider the expediency of submitting to the people of this State the question whether the public interest would be promoted by fixing on a permanent sear of government for this State at the present time - read & passed.
