Report on petition of Jacob Scholfield & others, granting leave to withdraw, came from the Senate amended by referring the subject to the next Legislature for concurrence - The House refused to concur in the reference and accepted the original report - sent up.

Resolve in favor of Ebenezer L Wilder, was read twice & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill to incorporate the Portland Rifle Corpes, came from the Senate passage refused for concurrence - The House recourse their former votes & concurred the Senate.

[Bill - endorsement of writs]

Bill respecting the endorsement of Writs, which passed this House on the 16th inst. came from the Senate amended as taken into a new draft for concurrence & the House concurred.

[Bill - Court of Sessions]

Bill additional act to establish a Court of Sessions, was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill additional to an act to establish a Court of Common Pleas was called up - The vote passing the same to be engrossed, reconsidered & the subject referred to messrs Chase of Livermore, Howard & Stone.

Resolve providing for the appointment of agents to give deeds to owners & possessor of lands on the Island of Mantinicus - was read a 2d time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence

Bill establishing the salary of the Secretary of State - was read 1st, 2nd & 3d time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

[Bill - salary of Agj t General]

Bill establishing the salary of the adjutant General, was read once & passage to a second reading refused - Immediately Mr Fillebrown moved a reconsideration of the vote which was negatived & on motion the subject was indefinitely postponed. Sent up for concurrence.
