[Committee - allowing interest on Confessions]

On motion of Mr Morrill, Ordered that Messrs Morrill, Tolman & Gray be a committee to take into consideration the expediency of authorizing and empowering Justices of the Peace to cast the interest on confessions taken before them and to issue or renew executions on the same for interest as as well as principal with leave report by bill or otherwise - read & passed.

[Bill - incorp. Lewiston Bridge]

Message from the Senate by Mr Smith their Secretary. Mr Speaker, The Senate have amended the engrossed bill to incorporate the Proprietors of Lewiston Bridge by striking out the word five and inserting instead thereof the word "one" in the 19th line from the top, and request the concurrence of the House - The House concurred & the Clerk was requested to acquaint the Senate therewith.
