The House resumed the consideration of the report of the committee on the subject of the permanent location of the seat of government - Mr Parsons moved an amendment which was not adopted - Mr Sturdivant then moved a reference of the subject to the next Legislature and the question was taken by yeas & nays and decided in the negative as follows Yeas. 59 nays 78. The question on the acceptance of the report was then taken and decided in the affirmative 83 pro. 46 con.
