[page 892] Testimony of Edward Holway Sworn. By Mr. Baker. Ques. How long have you been an attendant at the hospital. Ans. About two years and four months. Ques. Were you discharged at one time. Ans. Yes sir. Ques. And afterwards re-employed. Ans. Yes sir. The matter was hear before the trustees. Ques. Examined by them and at their request you were re-employed and have been there ever since. Ans. Yes sir. Ques. How long between the time you were discharged and the time you were re-employed. Ans. Three weeks, I believe. I went back there the first day of April. Ques. State for what you were discharged and the circumstances. Ans. I stuck a man with the flat of my hand. He was in the bathroom, I was bathing him; he seized the mop and struck me with it, I took the mop away from him and put it back again. He reached after it again and I struck him beside the face with the flat of my hand wet. Capt. Lakin saw it and told me to stop that, and I did. He said he should be obliged to report me. Ques.
