[Elias Gove's petition]

A message was received from the Senate informing the House that they are unable to find the petition of Elias Gove, sent for by the House.

[D.Wood's acceptance as Counsellor]

A communication was received from Daniel Wood, signifying his acceptance as Counsellor -

[Message for a convention to qualify him.]

Message from the Senate by Mr Smith their Secretary.

Mr Speaker

The Senate propose a convention of both Houses at 10 oclock today for the purpose of qualifying Daniel Wood Esqr Counsellor elect, - The House concurred & the Clerk was requested to acquaint the Senate therewith.

[Resolve - James Campbell]

Resolve in favor of James Campbell - was read a second time & passed to engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

[Petition]

Petition of James J Boyd for allowance for services in the office of the Treasurer of State, came from the Senate referred to Messrs Anderson & McDonald with such as the House may join - & the House concurred & Messrs Russell, Spring of Saco & Mowry were joined.

[Bill - Lewiston Bridge]

Bill giving further power to the Lewiston Bridge Corporation was read a 2d time & tomorrow assigned for a 3d reading.

[Bill - grants to pious uses]

Bill additional to an act for the better securing & rendering more effectual grants & donations to pious & charitable purposes - was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.
