Resolve in favor of Samuel F Hussey & Jackson Davis - was read a 2nd time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence.

Petition of Joseph Williamson & als that Belfast may be made a half shire town of Hancock County, was read & referred to the committee on the incorporation of towns. Sent up for concurrence.

The committee on the subject of revising the poor debtors law, reported a Bill - and the report was accepted.

Bill additional to the act for the relief of poor debtors, was read once & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 2d reading & 200 copies ordered to be printed.

[Major Genl 7th Division to be chosen tomorrow in Senate]

The Senate have assigned tomorrow at 10 oclock to come to the choice of a Major General for the seventh Division newly created in the County of Washington - and then he withdrew

[Do in the House on Friday next]

The House thereupon assigned Friday next at 12 oclock to come to the choice on their part of a Major General for said seventh Division - and the clerk was requested to acquaint the Senate therewith.

[Resolve - - road]

Resolve authorizing a road to be opened from number four, north of the Bingham Purchase on the East side of Penobscot River to the Baskahegan River - was read a second time and amended as on sheet K annexed. Sent up for concurrence.

[Rules & orders]

The House took up the subject of amending the 7. art. Chap 2d of the Rules & Orders on the report of committee on that subject - & postponed it indefinitely.
