2 Neal Madison August 24th 1820 To the Governor and Council of the State of Maine It being generally understood that Major Sawtelle the present Sheriff of this County will be removed I take the liberty to recommend the appointment of Major John Moor or Capt Benjamin Adams to that office the appoint of either of those gentlemen I think will be sattisfactory to the problem, in my opinion as any other.- with much respect I am your [Honnery?] obedient Servant John Neal
