[Report - Somerset Lodge]

Report on the petition of Somerset Lodge to be incorporated, granting a bill, came down accepted for concurrence - and the House concurred.

[Bill - Stearns pond Canal]

Bill, to incorporate the Proprietors of Stearns Pond Canal was, read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

[Committee - abolishing imprisonment for debt.]

On motion of Mr Wilkins,

Ordered, that Messrs Wilkins, Crowell of W. & McIntire be a committee with such as the Senate may join, to consider the expediency & practicability of providing by law a prompt & efficient method for enforcing the payment & collection of debts without imprisonment therefor, with leave to report by bill or otherwise. Read & passed.
