Bill for the further organization of the S.J. Court and to abolish the Courts of Common Pleas, was read a 3d time and on motion of Mr Williams of Augusta postponed to the next Legislature.

[Bill - respecting Academies in this State]

Bill respecting Academies incorporated within this State, was read 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3d reading.

[Clerk to provide Chests in which to keep papers - &c]

On motion of Mr Russell, Ordered, that the Clerk procure as soon as convenient at the expense of the State two chests in which to preserve the finished & other papers of the House of Representatives - read & passed.

[Bill - S.J.C. to lay out roads &c]

Bill authorizing the S.J. Court to lay out & alter public highways in certain cases, which passed this House 3d inst. came from the Senate in a new draft for concurrence - & the House concurred

[Bill - Minis. fund in Porter]

Bill to establish a ministerial and school fund in Porter which passed this House the 3d inst. came from the Senate with an amendment at A for concurrence - and the House concurred

Mr Moore of Clinton gave notice that at 10 oclock tomorrow he should move a reconsideration of the vote passed this forenoon, referring the Bill for the further organization of the S.J. Court & to abolish the C.C. Pleas.
