Petition of Seth Spring & als for a grant of land to several towns in York County as an indemnity for constructing roads, came from the Senate referred to the committee on Turnpikes, Bridges & Canals for concurrence - and the House concurred.

Petition of John L Megguier & als a committee of the Proprietors of Commercial Hall in Portland for an act of incorporation came from the Senate referred to the committee on Literature &c for concurrence and the House concurred.

Request of the committee on the petition of the Proprietors of Oxford Bridge, was referred to the committee on Turnpikes, Bridges & Canals in concurrence with the Senate

Memorial of Moses Greenleaf on the subject of a series of topographical & statistical Maps of this State with a statistical account of the same prepared by him, was read & referred to Messrs Carpenter of Howland, Pond of Bucksport, Fuller of Augusta, Smith of Nobleboro' & Emerson of Portland with such as the Senate may join.

Bill establishing the Salaries of the Judge & Register of Probate for the County of Waldo, being reported, was passed to be engrossed as amended at A by substituting as the Salary of the Judge of Probate, one hundred & fifty dollars for two hundred, and at B by substituting as the Salary of the Register of Probate two hundred & fifty for three hundred dollars. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion of Mr Smith of Nobleboro' Ordered, that the committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of altering or amending the existing law in relation to the Board of persons confined in prison for debt. - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.
