� Over Antietem mountain 33 and it rained verry hard. We camped at Middleton. Private to Larisa. 9th Marched to near Boonsbarran's [?]. Colonel Vinsant promoted to brigadeer general. Our Co with to others guarded the ordin-ence trains over the Antietem mountain 10th We marched across the Antietem creak, and thru out skirmishes and advanced in line of battle. Our Co went on picket at night. 11th We skirmished until three oclock then joined the brigade and advanced in line of battle two miles and compassed skirmishing. A shower came up and we was relieved by the third eagle. We moved back a short distance and camped in line of battle.
