Duties--examine and decide upon the claims of the heirs of the late Captain Lewy, an Indian agent of the Passamaquoddy Indians.

18.03--Commission to Revise Probate Laws. Created by P.&S.L. 1973, c. 126.

Duties--present a proposed Probate Code to the 107th Legislature to consist of a revision, redraft and rearrangement of appropriate sections of the Revised Statutes pertaining to probate law and its administration, including the desirability of a full-time family or probate court system.

Members--2 from Maine Bar Association, 1 from Corporate Fiduciary Association, 1 chartered life underwriter, 2 of the Senate appointed by President of Senate, 3 of the House appointed by Speaker of the House, 1 representative of labor, and 2 appointed by the Governor.

Members--3 literary, scientific, and practical men appointed by the Governor with advice of the Council.
