On Motion of Mr. Jewett of Portland Ordered That the use of the Representatives Hall be grated to Doct. Howe principal of the Institution for the Blind this day at 11 o clock for the purpose of affording members of the Legislature an opportunity to witness the proficiency of his Scholars read and passed

The Committee on Engrossed Bills report as duly engrossed Bill to annex a part of the Williams College Grant to Houlton -to incorporate the Portland Mining and Railway Company -to incorporate the Portland and Cape Elizabeth Coal Company -to incorporate the Penobscot Bridge -to incorporate the Manufacturers Savings Bank which were severally passed to be enacted sent up for concurrance [concurrence]

Petition of William Millet and others inhabitants of township No. 1 Hancock County to be organized into a plantation was read and referred to the Committee on Incorporation of towns sent up for concurrance [concurrence]

Resolve in favour of Samuel Holden was read a 2d. time and passed to be Engrossed in con
