Communication of Asa Redington Jr. transmitting the annual Report of the Treasurer on the state of the Finances accompanied by sundry documents - read and referred to a Joint Select Committee consisting, on the part of the Senate, of Messrs Clark, Jewett and Frye with such as the House may join, - Sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred and Messrs Steward of Anson, Dillingham of Turner, Hamlin of Hampden, Cushing of Augusta, Lord of Kennebunk, Wait of Falmouth and Reynolds of Garland are joined.

Mr Jewett from the Select Committee, appointed to draft Rules and Orders for the Government of the Senate for the current political year, made a report which was read and accepted; and ordered that two hundred copies of the Rules and Orders be printed for the use of the Senate.
