The list of unfinished business referred from the last to the present Legislature (laid upon the table by the Secretary on Saturday last.) was taken up and the several Petitions Reports, Bills and Resolves and the papers accompanying each were referred to the appropriate Committees as follows, to wit: Report on an order relative to the expediency of making further laws to prevent gambling; Petition of Peter Adams in behalf of the first private burial Ground Society in the town of Union; Bill providing for election of County Commissioners; -"- regulating attachment on real estate; -"- in addition to an Act relating to the settlement and support of the Poor. severally read and referred to the Joint Standing Committee on the Judiciary. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Bill establishing an Academy at Princeton; Resolve in favor of Lewiston Academy; -"- in favor of Anson Academy; -"- in aid of Yarmouth Academy; severally read and referred to the Joint Standing Committee on Literary Institutions. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Petition of John Brown and others praying for a Bank at Bangor; Bill to incorporate the Agricultural Bank, severally read and referred to the Joint Standing Committee on Banks and Banking. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Petition of Ira Crocker and others, praying that a part of Bridgeton and Harrison may be incorporated into a town; -"- of Messrs Burley and others, praying that the tract called "Linneus" may be incorporated into a town;
