Order from the House of Representatives, instructing the Committee on the Judiciary to inquire into the expediency of providing by a general Act for the incorporation of villages and defining their powers, - read and passed in concurrence.

Petition of sundry inhabitants of the County of Somerset, praying for the repeal of all enactments in relation to Capital Punishments, - read and referred to the Committee that have subject under consideration. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

On motion of Mr Merrow, The Senate reconsider their vote of yesterday whereby they referred the petition of John Strout and others to the Committee on Division of Towns and refer the same on Incorporation of Towns. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Bill relative to appropriations of many (reported by Mr Clark from the Committee to which was referred the Treasurer's Report) was read and the same, on motion of Mr Severance, was ordered to lie on the table and that 300 copies be printed for the use of the Legislature.
