Prison be instructed to inquire into the expediency of purchasing for the use of the Legislature ten copies of the edition of the Reports of the Prison Dicipline [Discipline] Society for the first ten years; with leave to Report by Resolve or otherwise. Sent down for concurrence, Concurred;

Bill to fix the compensation of Superintending School Committees came up from the House indefinitely postponed and the same on motion of Mr. Merrow was laid on the table

Bill additional to an Act to provide for the inspection of Hops for exportation. - Bill repealing an Act to prevent frauds in the inspection of fish - severally read the second time and ordered to lie on the table.

Bill constituting Ellsworth the Shiretown of Hancock County was read the second time and amended; and the same passed to be engrossed as amended. Sent down for concurrence.

The President announced to the Board that the Committee on Engrossed Bills was not full, and Mr Johnson was appointed on said Committee.
